virgin post

well, here it is- after much procrastination, my first post. welcome!

a brief introduction- i am an occupational therapist by trade but quilter in every other spare moment. i have been doing crafty things for as long as i can remember and look forward to meeting other like minded people via this blog.

in the last year or so, i have been thrilled to meet two other quilters that are incredibly talented and also quilt to the likes of butterfingers and the hill top hoods- hence the beginings of the cool quilters group.  it is an amazing feeling to finally meet other like minded folks out there….

this is a quilt that i made at the begining of the year. it was given away as a present for my boyfriends sister’s new baby. she is the first baby born into that side of the family and is the most precious & dear little bundle. but i guiltily confess that i really miss this quilt amd plan on making a second one. i think the attachment relates to the fact that it has been made from scratch. my friend tracey and i started dying fabric and this is the first quilt that i had made from it.
